Veteran actor Bernard Bonnin, also known as “Palos” died on Saturday after suffering from stroke. The cause of his death was multiple organ failure due to diabetes. He was 70.

Bernard Bonnin was born on September 8, 1939. His big break was “Palos” which earned him the moniker “Palos ng Pinilakang Tabing.” He was the father of the famous beauty queen turned actress Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach and actor Richard Bonnin.

His last television appearance was ABS-CBN’s “Palos” starring Jake Cuenca, a television series based on Bernard Bonnin’s 1965 hit film of the same title.

His remains lie at the Heritage memorial Park in Taguig City.
