Two indie films, “Ang Panggagahasa Kay Fe” and “Bakal Boys” was recognized and has won International awards.

Alvin Yapan’s “Ang Panggagahasa Kay Fe” (The Rapture of Fe) won the Golden Award in the Digital Competition of the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival held last November 10 to 20, 2009. The movie stars Irma Adlawan, Nonie Buencamino, Mercedes Cabral and TJ Trinidad.

Meanwhile, “Bakal Boys” (Metal Drivers) which stars Gina Pareño won the Chiaputti Awards in Torino, Italy.
